The Ukrainian military used at least 70 Dragon and Splash drones during an attack on the Russian military airfield Morozovsk in the Rostov region of Russia on June 14. Their main target was a hangar for Su-34 Fullback fighter-bombers.

This was stated by Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in an interview with The Warzone. He assured that Ukrainian forces are planning another attack on the airfield to complete the job.

"We are waiting for information on whether any planes were destroyed or damaged," DIU head said.

This was the second large-scale attack by Ukrainian drones on Morozovsk in two months. The previous one took place on April 5.

To recap, the attack on the Morozovsk airfield took place on the night of June 14. The Russians complained that "something was flying and buzzing" towards the city and that it was not being shot down. Governor Vasily Golubev said that electricity was cut off in the Morozovsk district, with several settlements having a blackout. According to his preliminary information, there were no casualties.
