List of free and paid services at airports
Not all tourists know what services can be obtained at airports for free. OBOZREVATEL has found out what "bonuses" you can expect before and after check-in, and which ones you need to pay for. Here is a detailed list.
Free services
1. If the flight is delayed, the passenger receives a number of additional "bonuses" while waiting: luggage storage, access to child room, and two calls or emails.
In addition, if the flight is delayed by two hours, employees are obliged to provide passengers with free drinks, and if it is delayed by four hours or more, they are obliged to offer a hot lunch.
If the flight is postponed for more than 8 hours, the carrier is obliged to accommodate passengers in a hotel and provide a transfer.
However, if passengers are warned about the flight delay 14 hours in advance, these benefits do not apply.
2. If the passengers are provided with a hotel free of charge, the carrier delivers passengers by car to and from the airport.
3. If the plane arrives at an airport due to a forced landing, the carrier is obliged to transport passangers to the nearest airport and have their luggage delivered.
4. You can find information (and ask for an individual certificate) about the movement of aircraft, the cost of transportation and other conditions for using air transport at the airport. You can also check the schedule of express trains between the city and the airport.
5. All children under 12 years traveling with their parents are served at the airport free of charge. This rule does not apply to bar services.
6. Each passenger can weigh their baggage before check-in free of charge.
7. People with disabilities and passengers with preschool children can use the priority boarding service free of charge.
