Drone wreckage causes a fire in Cherkasy region

During another Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of October 27, a number of enemy drones were shot down over Cherkasy region. However, the wreckage of one of the downed targets caused a fire on the territory of an infrastructure facility in the Umanskyi district.

Fortunately, there were no casualties. This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets.

According to preliminary data, three Shahed drones were shot down over the region this night.

"The wreckage of one of them fell on the territory of an infrastructure facility in Umanskyi district. The fire was quickly extinguished. There were no casualties," the official added.

It is worth noting that during this Russian drone attack, the air raid alert was announced in the city twice: at almost midnight and between two and four in the morning.

The enemy's strike UAVs entered the territory of Ukraine from the Sumy direction. Air defense forces were operating in a number of regions.

As reported, a woman born in 1961 was killed in a massive Russian attack on the Umanskyi district of Cherkasy region on the night of October 19. In addition, one person was injured in Cherkaskyi district, where a warehouse and a critical infrastructure facility were affected.
