The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine commented on the repeated fakes of Russian propaganda about his "death". He admitted that he survived the "liquidation" normally.
Budanov sees the reasons why the Kremlin propagandists are so insistent in spreading absurd lies, even despite its repeated denials, in the excessive addiction to psychotropic substances, which, to all appearances, has acquired a total scale in Russia. He said this in a commentary to Public.
Responding to the journalist's question, Budanov noted with a smile that his "demise" was "normal."
He also shared his thoughts on the reason why the Russians are trying so hard to "bury" representatives of Ukraine's military command on their television and in the media - even though the officials "liquidated" by Kremlin propagandists have repeatedly refuted the lies by appearing in public space.
"Where can one find logic...? There is no logic in the deeds of an alcoholic, there is such an expression. And then there are drug addicts. What is there to talk about?" - shrugged the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
As a reminder, since early June Russian propagandists began spreading a fake about Budanov's severe wounding, which he allegedly received after "hitting the Main Directorate of Intelligence building" in Kyiv. The Russians even invented a fake report from a well-known German publication about the head of the military intelligence service allegedly being in a coma in a Berlin hospital; however, the said publication refuted the propaganda's lies.
After a while, during which Russians were spending their time rejoicing in the "liquidation" of Budanov, a new photo of him was published. However, the alive and healthy Main Directorate of Intelligence boss in the photo did not make propagandists give up the version that he had been liquidated or even seriously wounded: they "noticed" in the photo "skull trepanation" and prosthetic legs," and they also started talking about a "double".
