An unknown object hovering over the combat zone spotted in Ukraine: an interesting version has already been put forward

The Ukrainian military spotted an unknown object hovering in the sky above the combat zone that was not moving. Presumably, it was a mirage or drones, but the footage has puzzled many people.

The footage was taken by soldiers of the 406th Battalion in February using a thermal imaging quadcopter, the Daily Mail reports. It is noted that the object was warmer than the environment, although a red "error message" on the drone's control interface leaves key details unclear.

A representative of the Mavic drone manufacturer DJI told the publication that, although he could not answer for sure, the mystery was probably caused by an equipment error.

At the same time, online skeptics suggest that the image in the video is a mirage phenomenon known as Fata Morgana. It occurs when a layer of warm air at a higher altitude and a lower layer of cold air create an "atmospheric channel" that refracts or distorts light, creating airborne reflections.

"It may be just an optical illusion of shooting something on a body of water," users noted.
