Russia attacked Lviv region with "Shaheds"

The aggressor country Russia launched a night attack on Ukraine on September 19 with a kamikaze drone in Lviv. It caused a fire in an industrial warehouse and injured a man.

Before that, explosions were heard in the region. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Andriy Sadovyi, on his Telegram channel.

"All relevant services have arrived at the scene. We are working according to the protocol," he wrote.

It should be noted that on Tuesday night, Russia launched its third consecutive air attack on Ukraine. From two o'clock in the afternoon, the alarm began to spread across the regions, and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of enemy missile and attack UAV launches.

Lviv region was twice threatened by kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. It was noted that air defense was working to shoot down enemy targets.

Around five in the morning, the mayor of Lviv indicated that there was a threat of a second attack in the region, but that air defense was on guard - the sounds of explosions heard at that time were the work of the defenders. Later, he confirmed a Shahed strike in the city, which caused the roof of an industrial warehouse in one of the districts to catch fire and resulted in a casualty.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytsky, a significant fire broke out in the warehouse in the regional center as a result of this attack, and all specialized services were working at the scene. After 06:00, he emphasized that the threat of enemy attacks had now passed and thanked the air defense.

For his part, Sadovyi clarified that a 26-year-old man had been pulled from the rubble at the warehouse in Lviv. The victim has an open fracture of the limb, he is already in the hospital and is being provided with all the necessary assistance.

The mayor also warned that traffic on Horodotska Street from the intersection with Paton Street to the roundabout is blocked in both directions.

"Special equipment and all relevant services are working here. If possible, avoid this section of the road," he said.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, during the night air attack of the Russian Federation on August 15, six cruise missiles hit the territory of Lviv region, another was shot down by air defense forces. As a result of the attacks, 19 people were injured and about fifty houses were damaged.
