The famous Czech posted a post on social media

Olympic hockey champion Dominik Hašek reposted an interview with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on social network X (formerly Twitter). In an interview with ABC News, the Foreign Minister said that "even if Ukrainians run out of weapons, we will fight with shovels."

On his account, the legendary goalkeeper of the Czech national team, Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings supported Kuleba.

"The determination of Ukrainians to defend their freedom from a much larger and more armed enemy is enormous. These people need and deserve our maximum support. Glory to Ukraine. Glory to the heroes," wrote the 58-year-old native of Pardubice.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, Hašek said that non-Russians have no right to play in international tournaments "until they leave Ukraine and put Putin on trial." For this, CSKA honorary president Boris Mikhailov attacked the Czech with insults.

Prior to that, Hašek had been a vocal supporter of Ukraine. After a trip to Kyiv and Kharkiv last summer, he recorded a video message to Ukrainians, wishing them to "drive the Russian sh*t away."

It is worth noting that Hašek, who has repeatedly harshly criticized the National Hockey League (NHL) for allowing Russian athletes to play in the championship despite Russia's aggression against Ukraine, was featured at an NHL gala event.
