World chess champion calls behavior of Ukrainians towards Russians "complete outrage"

Anatoly Karpov, the 12th world chess champion, was outraged by the call of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC) to prevent Russian athletes under the age of 12 from competing in the sport under the national flag. The State Duma deputy called this behavior of our compatriots "a complete outrage."

Karpov said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime noted that the decision should be made by the Russian president of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), Arkady Dvorkovich.

"Of course, such an appeal by the NOC of Ukraine cannot be welcomed in any way. It is obvious that this is a complete outrage against children and chess. The only way to respond to this is to simply ignore them. That's all. Can FIDE now somehow change its decision? I don't know, I can't decide for FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich," Karpov said.

Last weekend , FIDE refused to allow the Russian and Belarusian national teams to return to their tournaments, but intends to reconsider sanctions against the young men from the co-aggressor countries.
