Antwerp's head coach Marco van Bommel lost his temper at a press conference after the match against Shakhtar Donetsk in the fifth round of the Champions League. The coach was not satisfied with the refereeing of Polish Tomasz Frankowski, who, in his opinion, did not award a penalty to the Ukrainians.

Van Bommel noted that the referee handed out yellow cards to his players and also sent off striker Arbnor Muja after the final whistle, walfoot.be reports. The coach of the Belgian team also complained that the video assistance system (VAR) referee did not interfere in the game.

"The referee gave a yellow card to two of our players for allegedly elbowing, but not to their captain for a mistake that I've made 25 times in my career and for which I've received yellow cards 25 times. I think it was a penalty, yes. They also played with their hand in the penalty area during a corner. What did the VAR referee do? Who is behind it? Are they competent enough? Do they understand football? What should we do? Cancel VAR?" van Bommel said.
