Poltava Vorskla head coach Viktor Skrypnyk asked fans and journalists not to criticize his team for the kick-off from the Conference League qualification after the defeat in a match with Georgian Vorskla. The Ukrainian team lost with a score of 1:3 and left the tournament. Its mentor said that he and his players "owe nothing".

Skrypnyk said this at a press conference after the match in Georgia. The 53-year-old specialist emphasized that the result of the match corresponds to the course of the game. He also noted the difficulties of preparing and holding a match during the war in Ukraine, as the team has every game outside the country.

"The opponent beat us skillfully. Compliments to the home team. It can be a good lesson for us. It took two days to get here for the game. This is by no means an excuse. Such games will give the young team the neccessary experience. Everything is according to the game. Do not reproach us by saying that we had to. We don`t have to do anything. We played with Vorskla for ourselves, for our fans. We are sorry that we lost, I wish good luck to the opposing team. We have every game outside the country. We know the reality and we know how hard it is for us. We have never been distinguished by the fact that we play brightly, we play as we can. We are patient," Skrypnyk said.

Dynamo Kyiv recognized its opponent in the third round of qualification of the Conference League.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, soccer fans of the Georgian club "Dila" sang the song "Putin h*ilo" in the return match of the second round of qualification of the Conference League with Vorskla. Ultras of the hosts also put up posters in support of Ukraine.
