Three-time world chess champion Anna Muzychuk took part in the advertising campaign of the 2024 World Rapid and Blitz Championship, which is organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in Austria, Chess News reported. The president of FIDE since 2018 is pro-Kremlin Russian politician Arkady Dvorkovich.

Joint photos of the 33-year-old Lviv native and tournament CEO Emil Sutovsky have appeared on the tournament's website.

Dvorkovich attended an award ceremony for outstanding Russian chess players in Moscow on July 20. Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov also attended the meeting.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, earlier world chess champions Maria and Anna Muzychuk refused to support the exclusion of Russia and Belarus from FIDE.

The girls later commented on their decision. Anna, on behalf of herself and her sister, stated that the information about the refusal was a half-truth.
