Ukrainian woman wins World Athletics Continental Tour Gold track and field tournament with a record

Famous Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold tournament in Nairobi, Kenya. The 21-year-old from Dnipro cleared 2.00m in her second attempt.

This result allowed our compatriot to set several records. Mahuchikh became the first athlete in 2023 to demonstrate such a result at an open-air competition.

Yaroslava also improved her achievement from the Kenyan tournament by 9cm. The previous record was 1.91m and belonged to the British Laura Zialor.

Another representative of Ukraine, 28-year-old Kateryna Tabashnik from Kharkiv, won bronze. She cleared the bar at a height of 1.86m.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, in March this year, Maguchikh, who is one of the most beautiful athletes in our country, won gold at the European Athletics Championships.

Last autumn, Maguchikh tried on the role of a fashion model. Yaroslava, who is 181 cm tall, walked the catwalk at New York Fashion Week.
