Katarina Zavatska, a six-time winner of the International Tennis Federation tournaments and Ukrainian champion of the ITF W100 tournament in France, got engaged with Russian tennis player Alen Avidzba (ATP No. 844), whom she has been dating for more than 6 years. The 23-year-old native of Lutsk posted a symbolic video on her Instagram.

In the video, Zavatska draws a small picture of a tropical island, with a man's hand holding a woman's wedding ring in the background.

Avidzba was born on February 24, 2000, in Sochi. His highest career ATP singles ranking (380) was at the end of April 2019. Avidzba made his ATP main draw debut at the 2019 Kremlin Cup.

Zavatska has been playing tennis for 5 years. She trained at the Rivne Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve. She then studied at a tennis center in Cannes (France).
