Ukraine suffers third consecutive defeat at European Volleyball Championship

The Ukrainian national volleyball team lost to Bulgaria in the third round of the European Championship, which is held from August 28 to September 16 in Italy, Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia and Israel. The meeting at the Sports Palace in Varna ended with the score 3:1 (20:25, 25:17, 25:20, 25:23).

Ugis Krastiņš's team started the match successfully, winning the first game. This only angered the hosts, who simply crushed the Ukrainians in the second set.

Continuing to work competently in defense and avoiding unnecessary mistakes Bulgarians confidently won the third game.

The fourth set was decisive. "Yellow-Blue" were unable to turn the game around, losing 3:9.

Recall that in the first round Ukraine with a score of 1-3 lost to Slovenia (23:25, 25:22, 25:20, 25:20), and in the second dramatically lost to Croatia 2:3 (25:17, 22:25, 25:20, 15:25, 13:15).

Before the fourth round, Ukrainian volleyball players occupy the last 6th place in Group B.

On September 4, our guys will face Finland. Start at 17:00.
