Goran Popov, Artem Milevskyi's former Dynamo teammate, admitted that the Ukrainian had problems with alcohol during his sports career. In addition, Milevskyi was completely unable to manage money.

According to the Macedonian ex-footballer, Artem had a salary of one and a half million a year. Popov advised him to invest in real estate

"When he was sober, he agreed, saying, 'Goran, you're right.' But when he drank, his mind changed. He treated himself badly. When his 15-20 closest people were out at the restaurant, I always saw that Milevskyi did not allow anyone to pay, always closing the accounts himself. He is my friend, and I am always ready to help him. But he has completely lost himself in the last 6-8 months, disappearing from the radars," Popov said in an interview with RB.

The last time Popov saw Milevskyi was when Macedonia played with Ukraine in Romania.

"We have a mutual friend who visits Milevskyi every other day, and he told me that Artem has been drinking every day since the war started. I asked Artem why he wasn't leaving Kyiv, and he replied that he didn't want to, that he played for Dynamo there, that he wasn't going anywhere. Then I wrote to him, but he did not answer," Goran Popov added.

The Macedonian believes that the main thing is for Milevskyi to stop abusing alcohol.

"I've seen his photo. If you've gained 30 kilograms a year after your career is over, it's not normal. This is a serious problem. You need to calm down and continue to live and work. When you have no job, you just drink and are left alone with bad thoughts. Alcohol does not solve the problem," the former Dynamo Kyiv defender summarized.

The day before it became known that Milevskyi would be treated for alcohol addiction. The 38-year-old Minsk native's friends finally persuaded him to go to the hospital, where he has been staying for several days.

Earlier, a new video with Milevskyi appeared online, after which fans called on Artem's friends to save his life.
