"They're trying to make us outcasts": Russian national team coach tells a lie about Russia not killing Ukrainian civilians and demands access to the Olympics

Borodavko criticized the IOC

Yuriy Borodavko, the head coach of the Russian cross-country skiing team, called the requirement for Russian athletes to compete under neutral status an attempt to make them outcasts. He accused the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of not allowing representatives of the aggressor country to participate in the 2024 Games in Paris.

Borodavko said this in a comment to Championship.com. He also spoke cynically about Russia's criminal war against Ukraine, recalling Israel's struggle against the Hamas group, in which civilians are being massacred and which Russia allegedly avoids in its aggression against our country.

"They are just trying to make us outcasts. After all, everything possible is being done to prevent even those who seem to fulfill all the requirements from attending the Olympics. There will still be a special admission committee later. I don't even know what to call it when they try to explain to us that the war waged by Israel is something completely different. If Russia had followed the same path, the war in Ukraine (as the Russian Federation shamefully calls the war in Ukraine - ed.) would have ended long ago. But with what civilian casualties! This is the easiest way," Borodavko said.

Earlier, he had stated that Russians are a special people, whom the whole world should treat only with respect. Borodavko also dreamed that the war in Ukraine would end "the way we need it to."

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Olympic champion Veronika Stepanova threatened foreign rivals with the "intelligence of a washing machine."
