"They don't exist": Russia's dismissive remarks about Swedes after boycotting tournaments with Russian participation

The President of the Russian Fencing Federation, Ilgar Mamedov, has spoken insultingly of Swedish athletes after they refused to participate in competitions to which representatives of the aggressor country would be allowed. The pseudo-functionary banned Scandinavians from participating in the sport because "they do not exist".

Mamedov said this in a commentary to the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The Russian, in the traditional style of terrorists, demonstrated complete arrogance towards other nations and teams from so-called unfriendly countries.

"Swedish fencers will not participate in international competitions because Swedish fencers simply do not exist. When they do exist, then they can make claims," Mamedov said with a flourish.

Recall that the International Fencing Federation (FIE) has decided to allow Russian athletes to participate in its tournaments. This caused an angry reaction around the world, and many countries refused to participate or hold competitions under the auspices of the organisation. In addition, the FIE banned the symbols of Ukraine at the Grand Prix in South Korea. At the same time, it became known that Russian fencers were not allowed to participate in the selection stage for the 2024 Olympics.
