"They asked me to leave the locker room": Rebrov on the reaction of Ukrainian national team players to the miserable start at Euro 2024

The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov, was forced to leave the team's locker room immediately after the defeat by Romania at the start of the 2024 European Championship in Germany. This was the request made by the Blue and Yellows players who had a conversation with the coach after the fiasco in Munich.

Rebrov himself told journalists about this, according to the British publication The Telegraph. According to the 50-year-old coach of the Ukrainian team, his players were overwhelmed by negative emotions, and they decided to tell each other everything they thought without the presence of their coach.

"No one expected this result. The players talked privately in the locker room. They asked me to leave the locker room. Everyone was emotional and very upset. We controlled the ball but didn't create anything serious. It doesn't matter that we controlled the ball. So what? Football is about results," Rebrov said.
