The son of the legendary LeBron James had a cardiac arrest at practice
LeBron James' son Bronny passed out during basketball practice, TMZ Sports reports. The 18-year-old basketball player went into cardiac arrest during the session.
Medical personnel were able to resuscitate the victim and transport him to the hospital in an unconscious state. He is now in stable condition and has been transferred from the intensive care unit.
"Bronnie James suffered a heart attack during practice on Monday. We ask for the respect and privacy of the James family, and we will release new information to the media as soon as it becomes available. LeBron and Savannah would like to publicly express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes," the NY Post quoted the James family as saying in a statement.
TMZ Sports reports that the 911 call came in at 9:26 a.m. Monday morning from the University of Southern California Sports Center, where the team plays and practices. TMZ Sports sources say the call was assigned a code "3" (serious situation), allowing the ambulance to travel with its flashing lights and siren on.
Bronny James (height 188cm) can play the point guard and offensive guard positions. Scouts once praised his "feel for the game" and poise on the basketball court.
