"The Poles are playing": Russian IIHF champion calls for a ban on Russians discussing the World Cup of Hockey
Two-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov called the screening of the World Championship in Russia a real betrayal. The Stanley Cup winner also condemned the discussion of the tournament's results and course by fans and experts in Russia.
Fetisov, in a patriotic frenzy and agony, said this in a commentary to the propaganda publication KP. The former hockey player complained that the Russian team was "thrown out like dogs" of the championship, and therefore, Russian TV broadcasters are following the lead of "political opponents."
"I told you that it is an outrage to show the World Hockey Championship and discuss the results of the game where the Poles are playing in the studio... Our current political opponents, if not more than the Germans, Americans, Canadians, have suddenly become like that... I think it is a betrayal, by and large, so I urged everyone not only not to watch but also not to show such championships. We were thrown out of there like dogs, I think it's a betrayal," said the accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime.
Earlier, the CEO of Lada Togliatti, Alexander Chebotarev, called the team's hockey fans fascists for criticizing the regional governor and the war in Ukraine.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, two-time Olympic champion Boris Mikhailov made a stupid statement that the Russian national hockey team is not allowed to participate in international tournaments because of fears of rivalry.
