Ukrainian national team players received several video messages from our country's defenders at the front line before the start of the 2024 European Championship, which brought them to tears. At the same time, the Blue and Yellows players are motivated to demonstrate the spirit of the entire nation, which continues to resist Russian aggression.

This was stated by the head coach of our team, Serhiy Rebrov, in an interview with CNN Sport. The 50-year-old legendary striker of Dynamo Kyiv noted that the team hopes to please Ukrainians with a successful performance at the Euro, although he understands that football is not the main thing in the lives of compatriots today.

"Our soldiers made some short videos, and of course the players cried. Of course, when you watch these videos, you go out on the field with a different motivation. Football is special for our players. They are focused, but the goal is different, it is not just to win the match. It is very important to show passion and character during the game, as our defenders do. But, of course, the most important dream is to end this war and continue to rebuild our country," Rebrov said.

It should be recalled that the Ukrainian national team will play in Group E, where its rivals will be Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.
