The famous Mexican boxer entered the fight under the yellow and blue flag. But there's a nuance.

Unusual for the Ukrainian audience was the ceremonial part before the boxing bout between the absolute world super middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez and the Briton John Ryder. The fight took place in Guadalajara, Mexico.

A few minutes before the start of the meeting, the flags of Mexico and Jalisco, a state whose capital is Guadalajara, were brought to the stage. The yellow and blue cloth, when folded, almost completely mimicked the flag of Ukraine.

During the state anthem, a large screen showed the flag of Jalisco, and it was only then that the fundamental difference from the Ukrainian flag became apparent: the yellow and blue stripes were placed vertically, and there was a coat of arms in the center.
