Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina could not contain her emotions after leaving Wimbledon 2023. At the end of her semi-final match against Czech Republic's Marketa Vondroušová, the 28-year-old from Odesa burst into tears.

To the applause of the stands on the central court of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Svitolina went to the dressing room. The camera caught a close-up of the Ukrainian's face. It was clear that Elina was very upset by the defeat.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the battle for a ticket to the decisive match of the British Open tennis championships between Svitolin and Wondrousova ended with a score of 3-6, 3-6.
