The National Hockey League (NHL) is obliged to pay Ukraine several billion dollars for supporting Russia's aggression. The strongest league on the planet in this sport, despite the war in our country, allows athletes from the Russian Federation, including the founder of the Putin Team movement, Alexander Ovechkin, to be part of competitions.

This opinion was expressed by legendary Czech goalkeeper Dominik Hašek in an interview with Real Time. The Olympic champion of Nagano-98 called the NHL responsible for the murder of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians by Russia and also spoke out against hockey players from the aggressor country.

"I believe that the NHL should pay between two and four billion dollars to Ukraine for the year and a half that the war has been going on. I realize that it is almost impossible now. But I believe that lawyers will find a way and the NHL will have to pay for allowing Russian hockey players to play. I'm not saying it's a crime, but it's a direct support of Russian war and crimes. I want everyone to know: the NHL is also directly responsible for the mass deaths," he said.

Earlier, the two-time Stanley Cup winner thanked Ukrainians for "defending not only their country but also the freedom of the world." In addition, he admitted that he was inspired by the AFU soldiers, who are confident of their victory over the Russian aggressors.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Dominik Hašek called Russian Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov responsible for the deaths of 100 thousand Ukrainians.
