Serhii Rebrov's family suffered a fatal tragedy

The head coach of the Ukrainian national football team, Serhii Rebrov, has lost his father, the Dynamo press service reports. Stanislav Ivanovych was 85 years old. No other details of the tragedy have been reported.

Dynamo president Ihor Surkis expressed his condolences to his former player, noting that Stanislav Rebrov and Alla Vasylivna had raised a wonderful son.

"He brought up a hardworking, responsible, decent person, a professional in his field, wholeheartedly devoted to football. In particular, thanks to his father's upbringing, Serhii Rebrov inscribed his name in golden letters in the history of Dynamo Kyiv and became an idol of millions of football fans and brought many victories to Dynamo Kyiv," the obituary reads.

The Rebrovs family was originally from Horlivka (Donetsk region). In recent years, before moving to Kyiv, Alla Vasylivna worked as a mentor for the ballroom dance ensemble of the Horlivka Palace of Children and Youth Creativity.

Stanislav Ivanovych led a radio communication club at the Horlivka Palace of Pioneers.
