Yaremchuk completes hat-trick

Ukraine striker Roman Yaremchuk scored three goals in the Conference League match, in which his Brugge defeated Icelandic Akureyri. Our compatriot completed a hat-trick in just 18 minutes, and the Belgian team won the clash with a total score of 10:2.

Yaremchuk could have distinguished himself even in the first half of the game in Iceland when he had two favorable moments after coming on the opposing goalkeeper. However, Roman opened the scoring with a 0:2 scoreline by tapping in his partner's shot in the end.

The Ukrainian striker pounced on a mistake by an Akureyri defender who made an ineffective pass to his goalkeeper in the 66th minute. The Brugge forward intercepted the ball and slipped it past the goalkeeper into the net.

Another nine minutes later, Yaremchuk sealed the match by stitching through the Icelandic goalkeeper with a shot from an acute angle after going one-on-one. Thus, Roman completed his hat-trick, scoring four goals in two games against Akureyri.

Now Brugg will fight Spanish Osasuna for the right to play in the group tournament of the Conference League.
