Russian figure skater and championship winner drafted into terrorist army
18-year-old athlete trains in Svetlana Sokolovskaya's group at CSKA
18-year-old Moscow figure skater Grigory Fedorov has been drafted into the army, R-Sport reports. Currently, the athlete continues to train in Svetlana Sokolovskaia's group at CSKA.
Earlier, a list of athletes expelled from the CSKA Olympic Figure Skating Reserve School was published, which included Fedorov.
Fedorov is the winner of the first-ever Russian figure skating championship. This season, he took third place at the Russian Grand Prix in Omsk and eighth in Kazan.
It is assumed that the athlete was drafted to prevent him from joining an NHL club. At the same time, CSKA entered into a parallel agreement with Fedotov.
