Match TV lied about Slovaks

The Russian propaganda channel Match TV issued a fake about the Slovak national hockey team's alleged desire to play a friendly match with Russia. The pseudo-journalists noted that the negotiations between the parties are in an active phase and include several sparring matches this year.

The Slovak Ice Hockey Federation (SIHF) categorically denied such fabrications, according to the organization's official website. They noted that they were simply shocked by such fictitious news that has nothing to do with reality and plans to prepare for the 2024 World Championship.

"We have not had any negotiations with the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) and do not plan to play friendly games with the Russian national hockey team. This is fictitious information, the origin of which we do not know and which shocked us. We strongly reject such speculation, which further splits a polarized society," the SZĽH said in a statement.

Earlier, the President of the Russian National Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak expressed an absurd opinion that the national team from Russia was deprived of victory at the World Youth Championship where it was not even allowed to participate.
