Russian Olympic champion says Russians "treat everyone with great love" and "love life"
Olympic champion Alexander Legkov spoke insultingly of Trondheim Mayor Kent Ranum, who said he would not allow Russian athletes to participate in the city's World Ski Championships. The former athlete sent a Norwegian official to the city and immediately stated that Russian representatives "treat everyone with great love."
Legkov said this with open hypocrisy in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. A member of the United Russia party, who had been shy about Russian military aggression and its constant threats against other countries, was outraged by Ranum's words.
"F*ck him. Honestly. Is he deciding something? It's impossible to say otherwise. The most important thing is why do they say that they don't want to see us? It seems that we are directly worried that the mayor of Trondheim does not want to see us. We have even more interesting passions here. If they invite us, we will not refuse anything. The Russian people are so unique. We live with a big heart and treat everyone with great love. When we meet our guests, we are ready to give the last of ourselves, but we will set up tables so that all guests will be delighted. We love life, we love people," said Legkov.
Earlier, two-time Olympic champion Dmitry Vasiliev called the mayor of Trondheim an idiot and many Norwegians sick, accusing them of "inciting hatred."
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian skier Anastasia Faleeva was criticized in Russia for thinking of competing at the Olympics under a neutral flag.
