The Russian national football team continues to face problems finding opponents for friendly matches. Due to the refusal of Europeans and top Asian national teams, representatives of the aggressor country are forced to turn to Africans.

One of the sparring partners of Valery Karpin's team may be one of the worst teams in Africa - Kenya, writes Sport24. "We are in talks with the Russian Federation about the possibility of holding a friendly match between the Kenyan and Russian national teams in October. We are currently discussing the date and venue. As soon as we conclude the negotiations and reach an agreement, we will officially announce it," said Barry Otieno, Secretary General of the Kenya Football Federation.

The Africans are ranked 105th in the world rankings and have been disqualified three times by the International Football Federation (FIFA). In 2004, the local federation was suspended for three months because of government interference in its activities. In 2006, the country was punished for two months for a similar reason, and on February 24 last year, it was punished for nine months.

Earlier it became known that the Russian national team may play a friendly match with the Cameroon national team in October.
