Russian hockey player came to kill Ukrainians and was eliminated by the AFU

Former Smolensk Slavutich hockey player Artem Gvozdik has been eliminated in the Zaporizhzhia direction by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The 35-year-old goalkeeper went to kill Ukrainians as part of the assault units of the Airborne Forces.

Gvozdik spent the 2015/2016 season in Slavutich HC. He recently played in the Airborne troops (VDV) team from the city of Pskov. He was also a children's coach.

Gvozdik's record includes games in the Russian Hockey League (Russia's second-strongest hockey division) for Tambov HC, Sokol (Novocheboksarsk) and Altai (Barnaul).

"On August 23, a wonderful man, our former player, goalkeeper Artyom Gvozdik, died in the SMO zone, defending our country and doing his duty," Slavutich team tearfully said in a statement on one of Russia's social networks.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, 31-year-old judge Daniil Shemetov from Ulyanovsk was eliminated in the war in Ukraine on July 8.
