The match was immediately stopped
Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Grigory Ponomarev (6-3) broke his leg in the main event of ACA 161. The heavyweight bout in Moscow against Chechen Mukhamat Vakhayev (12-6) ended in the 35th second of the fight.
At the beginning of the first round, the opponents were looking at each other when Ponomarev threw a throw that broke his left leg in half at the knee. It was clear that the limb was practically "torn off" and held together only by tendons and skin.

Russian fans were outraged by the Chechen's behaviour.
"Vakhayev saw that there had been an accident and immediately began to finish off Ponomarev, who was lying with his leg unnaturally twisted, then did a joyful flip and in an interview began to sing about his respect for his opponent," the users wrote.
