Russian football has made ridiculous excuses for not playing matches with Europeans

The president of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov, complained that European teams would not play the national team of the aggressor country this year. The official explained this by saying that the opponents do not have free dates, which made the fans laugh.

Dyukov said this in a comment to the Sport24 website. "Negotiations are underway about the opponents for the national team's fall matches, but we won't talk about who. Because if we announce it now, it won't work out later, and we will be criticized. Everyone knows the regions – Latin America, Africa, and Asia. I will also say that there are teams in Europe with whom we can and are sure to play. But there are no windows this year. We are planning matches with these teams for 2025," said the RFU president.
