Russia did not care about its athletes and blamed them for injuries at the Spartakiad

Vyalba made a cynical statement

Elena Vyalbe, head of the Russian Ski Federation, accused the participants of the mass start race at the Spartakiad for students of a collapse that led to their serious injuries. The official did not see any violations on the part of the organizers and called the situation with the hospitalization of some girls a common occurrence.

Vyalbe said this in a commentary to the propaganda publication Sport-Express. The three-time Olympic relay champion noted that the incident was caused not by a broken track and disregard for safety measures, but by the level of readiness of the young athletes.

"It's okay, Jesus. Is this your first time in sports? The thing is that these athletes are not even ready for such a track. The level of these athletes is very low. Did they take nine people to the hospital? Maybe more. But there are just packed places there. Yes, some broke their wrists. I'm not in the hospital, so I can't say the exact number of victims," said Vyalbe.

Earlier, she called for a boycott of the 2024 Olympics with the words "grief is when a mother loses her son," forgetting that she supports the killing of people in the war in Ukraine.
