RFU names consequences of "peace treaty or surrender of Ukraine"

Russian national teams and Russian clubs have been suspended from international matches since 2022

Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vyacheslav Koloskov believes that his country can be returned to the world sports arena only after the end of the "SVO". Russian national teams and Russian clubs have been banned from international matches since 2022.

Koloskov does not understand where local journalists got the information about Russia's imminent return.

"Where do you find these positive signals about our return? I watch TV, read the news on the Internet, and I didn't see any signals there. I have repeatedly said that as long as the ceasefire continues and a peace agreement is not signed, there will be no changes in the decisions of UEFA and FIFA. Moreover, the lifting of sanctions will not come immediately after the signing of the peace agreement and/or Ukraine's surrender," Koloskov said in an interview with VseProSport.

The official clarified that even after Ukraine's alleged "surrender", the sanctions will not be lifted immediately.

"It will happen no earlier than two years after that. These are the real numbers, and everything else is good intentions and fantasies," said the honorary president of the Russian Football Federation.

In the comments, Russian fans agreed with their famous compatriot.

"Let Koloskov call the world's greatest geostrategist, and he will give you a specific time frame. It will soon be three years since 'everything is going according to plan', and the removal is part of it. If the plan has been followed for so long, it means that he has calculated everything in advance and knows exactly when it will end..." the Russians write.
