Real Madrid has issued an ultimatum to the goalkeeper of the Ukrainian national team

The management of Real Madrid has set strict conditions for Ukraine's goalkeeper Andrii Lunin to respond to an offer to extend his contract until 2029. The bosses of the "royal club" gave our compatriot until July 15, by which he must decide on his future in the Spanish capital.

This is reported by the Defensa Central portal. Lunin had earlier decided to start preparing with the team for the new season but still has not agreed to re-sign the contract valid until next summer. If the Ukrainian does not announce whether he will stay at the club by mid-summer, Real Madrid's management will begin looking for a replacement for Andrii.

At the same time, Madrid would be happy to keep the Ukrainian in their squad, but he understands that he will not get much playing time behind the Belgian Thibaut Courtois. London's Arsenal is most interested in our compatriot's services, having already contacted Real Madrid about a possible transfer.

It will be recalled that Lunin played a total of 31 matches in all competitions last season, in which he conceded 32 goals and 12 matches were nil. The Champions League matches against Leipzig and Manchester City were especially memorable when he won a penalty shootout in the quarterfinals.
