Putin aide threw a tantrum over alleged "brutal violence of Ukrainian regime" against athletes

Igor Levitin, an aide to Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, repeated the traditional narratives of Russian propaganda saying the same about "eight years". The representative of the state that launched a criminal war against Ukraine accused our country of abusing athletes.

Levitin said this on the air of the Match TV propaganda TV channel. He criticized Ukraine, which "indicates how many athletes died during SMO" (as the war in Ukraine is shamefully called in Russia - ed.), and also stated that the Ukrainian regime "brutally abuses" athletes.

"Ukraine indicates how many athletes died during World War II at all meetings in which it participates. Ukraine has been destroying regions for eight years! And athletes died there too, as they left these territories, and there is no sports infrastructure there. We do not talk about this, and this is not right. The ROC, the Ministry of Sports and athletes need to look into these issues and consider the fate of our colleagues who have lived under the brutal violence of the Ukrainian regime," he said.

Earlier, Levitin was mocked for saying "what kind of s*ckers are you" after attacking the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It should be noted that Russia has killed more than 300 Ukrainian athletes as of June 1.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matitsyn demanded that the IOC exclude "condemnation of President Putin's policies" from the conditions of admission to the 2024 Olympics.
