Tarasova condemns Canadians

Famous Russian figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova threw a tantrum over Canada's plans to simplify the procedure for changing sports citizenship. The former athlete accused the North Americans of allegedly intending to lure representatives of the aggressor country.

Tarasova said this in a comment to Sport24. She noted that the Canadians, without taking into account the opinion of the Russians, have already included their initiative in the preliminary agenda of the International Skating Union (ISU) Congress, which will be held on June 10-14 in Las Vegas.

"This initiative will allow our athletes to compete not only for Canada but also for any other country. Let them submit their proposal to the ISU! It's their right, and it doesn't matter whether our skaters change their sporting citizenship or not. Yes, it's another attack, but I wouldn't react to it in any way. We need to wait for the competition to return, and not be distracted by this. No one is paying attention to our opinion, and that's not good. They don't have enough of their own athletes, so they'll use someone else's. It was like that, and it is like that now!" said Tarasova.

Earlier, Russian Olympic champion Dmitry Vasiliev demanded to stage a coup in the International Olympic Committee and seize power.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Norwegian journalist Jan Petter Saltvedt of NRK gave a nice "wash" to the president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (RRF) Yelena Välbe after she said that foreigners are envious of Russia and its competitions.
