Our compatriot gave a great performance
Ivan Shmuratko, three-time figure skating champion of Ukraine, gave a spectacular performance at the European Championships, which took place in Kaunas, Lithuania, from January 10 to 14. The 22-year-old from Kyiv took to the ice wearing a white shirt with a red spot on his chest.

In the short program, Shmuratko showed the story of a child killed by a rocket, as well as the father who continues to live with it. The free program, set to the music of Ludovico Einaudi and Olafur Arnolds, was a continuation of the story.
"This is the astral between life and death. No more, and no less. It is incomparably more than words can convey. The element with blood? Because that's how it is, literally. People die from missiles like this, with blood," the Ukrainian figure skater said in an interview with Supilne.

From the technical side, Ivan's performance was close to perfect. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian did not perform any of the four jumps during the test, the elements that were declared were performed without a single minus from the judges.
