Apalkov speaks about the World Cup

Russian hockey player Daniil Apalkov has made a pathetic statement that the World Youth Championship is not interesting without the participation of the Russian national team. The Baris forward threatened his opponents, expressing confidence that after his suspension from international tournaments is lifted, his compatriots will win the tournament.

Apalkov said this in a commentary to the Metaratings portal. The hockey player, who took part in the World Youth Championship, forgot that the Russian national team has won the tournament only once in the last 20 years, and since 2019 has also won the prize money once.

"It's a crazy tournament, what can I say? It's a tremendous experience for any young aspiring hockey player to prove themselves and test their strength at this level. Nowadays, there is no interest without our guys. Of course, let them be afraid as soon as Russia comes again. I think the guys will please both the fans and the country. But again, it's not up to us to decide what happens next," Apalkov said.

Earlier, world sports legend and Olympic champion Dominik Gashek responded to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba about the determination of Ukrainians to fight with shovels.
