Lavrov makes a ridiculous proposal, offering to create a new soccer team

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has come up with a ridiculous idea to organize a national football team from the so-called BRICS countries. Starting next year, the union will include Argentina, Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in addition to the aggressor country and its four founding members (Brazil, India, China and South Africa).

Lavrov said this during the UN General Assembly, commenting on Russia's presidency of the BRICS from January 1 next year, the Russian Foreign Ministry's website reports. The accomplice of the dictatorial regime of Vladimir Putin noted that 11 is the number of players in a football team.

"Our country will fully assume the presidency next year. According to an established tradition, we are the ones who are holding this meeting as part of the General Assembly's events. We will distribute the program of our presidency shortly, taking into account the fact that there will already be eleven of us. Brazil rightly points out that eleven is the number of players in a soccer team. Perhaps we should think about making a BRICS soccer team," Lavrov said.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Russia's suspension from international competitions one of the manifestations of "perversion of the Olympic movement" that "was propagated by the Anglo-Saxons and other NATO members." She also said that "the world has one last chance to save world sport."
