Shakhtar have announced the termination of their head coach Igor Jovićevic's contract. The 49-year-old native of Zagreb took charge of the Orange and Blacks in July last year, signing a two-year contract.
The Croatian replaced Italian specialist Roberto De Zerbi, becoming the 35th coach of the Donetsk team.

It was a bright season, with which you have forever written your names in the history of Shakhtar. We wish you new achievements and great things in the future," the Ukrainian champion said in a statement on social media.
Over the year, Jovićević played 40 matches with Shakhtar, winning 24 and losing 5.
Before Shakhtar, the Croatian coach worked in Ukraine with Karpaty Lviv and Dnipro-1. He took part in 92 games with these teams, winning 37 and losing 37 times.
