'It's a detriment': Peskov's wife makes a foolish claim that Russia's suspension has hit world sport
Tatiana Navka, a traitor to Ukraine, called the suspension of Russian athletes from international competitions a blow to world sport. The wife of Dmitry Peskov noted that Western countries have allegedly lost an incentive for their own development, having been left without competition with representatives of the aggressor country.
Navka said this in an interview with Argumenty i Fakty. The 2006 Turin Olympic champion in ice dancing noted that the suspension of Russian athletes from international tournaments allegedly raised the status of domestic Russian competitions, where, in particular, "young talented athletes" compete in figure skating.
"I believe that the exclusion of Russian athletes from international tournaments is a detriment primarily to the sports of foreign countries. In our country, they lose very powerful rivals and, as a result, an incentive for their own development. But in any case, of course, I hope that international sports diplomacy will continue and demonstrate its effectiveness. Sport, as a science and art, has always been and remains the main unifying factor in international relations," Navka said.
Recently, the wife of dictator Vladimir Putin's press secretary suddenly recognised the success of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Luhansk region by cancelling all shows in the region. On Russia Day, Navka congratulated her followers on social media, but she received a different reaction than she expected.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Tatiana Navka boasted that she had premiered a new show and received unflattering comments from Russians in response.
