The formerly famous tennis player could not contain his emotions

Evgeny Kafelnikov, the most titled tennis player in Russian history, has reacted emotionally to the economic situation in Russia. On his Twitter account, the 49-year-old Sochi native admitted that the welfare of Russian residents is falling every day.

Kafelnikov also assessed the results of the much-hyped import substitution in two words.

"What 'poor relatives' we are (and why the f*ck am I using quotation marks). Over the past 10 days, we have become 15% poorer, and import substitution does not help a f*cking thing," Evgeny wrote.

He also sarcastically asked his followers how well the situation with the ruble was going.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on 6 July, the ruble exchange rate in Russia fell to its lowest level since March 2022.

The dollar exchange rate was 91.05 rubles, and the euro exchange rate had already reached 100 rubles. The fall of the Russian currency accelerated after the "mutiny" of Evgeny Prigozhin's Wagner PMC, which once again showed the Kremlin's weakness.
