Inter Milan confidently defeated their fellow countrymen from AC Milan in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals. The meeting at the legendary San Siro ended with a score of 0:2.

From the first minutes, the guests literally crushed the opponent's defence. The Black and Blues dominated the field, confidently launching attacks one after the other. In the centre of the pitch, Inter's players constantly found free space for passes, threatening the goal.

In the 8th minute, Simone Inzaghi's men opened the scoring. After a corner kick, Edin Džeko headed the ball into the net in one move.

Three minutes later, the record holder of the Ukrainian Football Championship, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, scored the second goal.

The shocked Milan players were able to recover only by the middle of the half, making the first shot on target.

In the 31st minute, Inter earned a penalty kick after Lautaro Martínez fell, but head referee Jesús Gil Manzano cancelled the kick after reviewing VAR.

Inspired by the rescue, the Milanese began to break into Inter's penalty area more and more often, creating threats to André Onana's goal.

In the second half, the game levelled out. Both teams had dangerous chances, hitting the post once each. AC Milan no longer looked as helpless as they did at the start of the game, but still failed to score at least one goal.
