Hasek supports Ukraine

The legendary Czech goalkeeper Dominik Hasek supported the statement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the signatories to the Budapest Memorandum simply did not care about their obligations. The former hockey player noted that it is difficult for him to imagine the emotions of the people of a country that continues to resist Russian aggression.

Hasek wrote about this on his page on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. The Nagano 98 Olympic champion and two-time Stanley Cup winner shamed the guarantors of the security of Ukraine's territorial integrity, noting that some of them demand that our country surrender to the occupiers.

"I can't even imagine what the Ukrainian people must be feeling... You were promised by other countries (the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, China) after the joint signing of the memorandum that they would ensure your security and borders... And they just all turned their backs on this, and some even dare to talk about some concessions?" Hasek was outraged.

Recently, in an interview with OBOZ.UA, the legendary hockey player explained why he actively and consistently supports Ukraine in the war with Russia. He also spoke angrily about the American entrepreneur Elon Musk after he ridiculed Zelensky and our entire country.

As OBOZ.UA reported, during a trip to Kyiv and Kharkiv in the summer of 2023, Dominik Hasek recorded a video message to Ukrainians, wishing them to "drive away Russian sh*t." In addition, Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov threw a real tantrum over the Czech's remarks.

Earlier, Dominik said that Russians have no right to compete in international tournaments "until they leave Ukraine and put Putin on trial." He also demanded that Russia pay reparations to our country.
