Ukraine's goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will not play in the Spanish league and the Champions League if he refuses to leave Real Madrid. Our compatriot will be able to get playing time only in the national cup, and this may not apply to the decisive stages.

This was reported by the Relevo portal. According to him, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has already proved his position to our compatriot. The Italian specialist also confirmed that Thibaut Courtois will be the main goalkeeper without replacements, who will open the season with the team in the UEFA Super Cup match on August 14.

This means that Lunin will not be able to take the field until January next year, when Real Madrid will start playing in the Spanish Cup from the round of the last 32.

The Ukrainian is still undecided about his future. He has not yet signed a new contract with the "royal club", but he is not negotiating a transfer to another team either. The current agreement between Andriy and Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2025.
