The titled Ukrainian fencer Fedir Yepifanov was killed in the war against Russia, the National Fencing Federation of Ukraine reports on Facebook. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the then 18-year-old Yepifanov suspended his sports career and volunteered for the front.
Fedir was a champion and prize-winner of national foil fencing competitions, a member of the Ukrainian national team and a master of sports. He studied at the Ivan Piddubnyi Olympic Professional College of the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on November 30, a young Kharkiv swimmer Nikita Zasiadko was killed in the war with the Russian occupiers. The 18-year-old athlete volunteered to defend Ukraine this summer, joining the Azov regiment.
Earlier it became known that 26-year-old Azov resident Oleksandr Perepelytsia, who was actively involved in handball, died near Kreminna.
