"For the deaths of Ukrainians": legendary hockey player put the Olympic champion from Russia in his place
Legendary hockey goalkeeper Dominik Hašek harshly responded to Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov, who demands the admission of Russian athletes to international tournaments without any conditions, as well as with the flag and anthem. The two-time Stanley Cup winner reminded the representative of the aggressor country that as a member of the State Duma he voted in favor of supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Hašek wrote about it on his Twitter page. The Nagano 98 Olympic champion noted that the Russians can only blame themselves for the suspension from international competitions, and besides, Fetisov simply turns a blind eye to the tens of thousands of people who died in the war in Ukraine, including his compatriots.
"Slava, if you have anyone to blame, it's yourself, because you voted in the Duma to start the Russian war. You gave the green light to the crimes and you are directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and your Russian compatriots. You are not a greater nation than other people on this planet to commit crimes against others," Hašek emphasized.
Earlier, Fetisov demanded that Hašek return to Russia all the money the Czech goalkeeper earned while playing for Spartak Moscow.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, former Russian national hockey player Vyacheslav Fetisov suggested that Russians should play "for some Syria" at the Olympics-2024.
