The moment happened in the Polissia vs Dnipro match

Zhytomyr Polissia midfielder Oleksandr Nazarenko suffered a serious injury in the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup against Dnipro-1 (1-1, 5-4 on penalties). In the 85th minute, the 23-year-old midfielder made a poor play in a rolling move, burying one foot in the turf.

As a result, his knee bent.

According to preliminary data, Oleksandr suffered damage to the cruciate ligaments of the knee and is out of football for 7-9 months.

The Polish blogger BuckarooBanzai drew attention to this moment, after which the video went viral online, gaining about 230,000 views in a day.

"This has to be one of the most amazing injuries I've ever seen. Unfortunately, it's also one of the most serious," BuckarooBanzai wrote.

Polish fans noted that this was an example of instant karma, as Nazarenko tried to attack Volodymyr Tanchyk very dangerously.

"There was a noticeable attack in the opponent's leg. You could see the swing of the leg and the jump. There is no sliding here. It was a jump into the player's supporting leg," the fans wrote.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, Dynamo Kyiv sensationally lost to fellow countrymen Obolon and dropped out of the draw in the 1/8 finals of the UC.

Earlier, Oleksandriia from the city of the same name in the Kirovohrad region dramatically reached the quarterfinals of the Ukrainian Cup. Ruslan Rotan's players beat Lviv's Rukh thanks to an own goal in the last seconds.
